Access guidance
- While seating is available, we do not offer a fast-track option due to the nature of the experience. However, guests who are unable to stand for long periods are welcome to use the seating provided in the queue. Seating is also available throughout the attraction, including in the gallery, infinity room, transfer lobby, and in the chimney lift itself.
- Due to the unique design of the chimney lift, guests will need to go up and down a flight of stairs during the experience. Staircase Details: 39 spiral steps Handrails on both sides for support Floor lights for visibility Corrugated metal plates for extra grip Step-Free Access: We understand that some guests may require a step-free route. An accessibility lift is available to bypass the stairs. The Accessibility Lift can be reserved during the booking process. If you already have a booking and need step-free access, you can reserve the Accessibility Lift ( https://lift109.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/15359127375133-How-do-I-reserve-and-use-the-accessibility-lift-for-my-visit ) The accessibility lift is reserved for guests who require step-free access. Each reservation can accommodate up to two people, including a maximum of one wheelchair user. Carers are included in this capacity. If your group includes more than one wheelchair user or more than two people needing step-free access, you will need to split into separate groups on the day. Our team will be available upon arrival to help organise this, answer any questions, and do their best to schedule groups back-to-back. Size & Use Restrictions: Maximum wheelchair size: 115 cm (width) × 65 cm (depth) Maximum combined weight (wheelchair and user): 300 kg Mobility scooters and pushchairs are not permitted in the lift. Guests may transfer into a standard wheelchair, which is available on-site. Scooters and pushchairs can be stored in the buggy park. Please note: There may be a short wait due to operational needs.
- Toilets, including accessible toilets, can be found outside our attraction near the Arcade food hall.
- Lift 109 is committed to ensuring the attraction is inclusive and accessible for all guests, including those who rely on assistance dogs. Assistance dogs that meet Assistance Dogs UK (ADUK) guidelines are welcome. To help facilitate your visit, we recommend contacting our customer service team in advance so we can provide any necessary information about the venue. As Lift 109 can be a busy and sometimes loud environment, we want to ensure the best experience for all guests and animals. For this reason, pets are not permitted. Lift 109 reserves the right to refuse entry to dogs that do not comply with ADUK guidelines. Please note that therapy dogs or emotional support animals are not permitted, in line with guidance from leading animal welfare charities, including Pets as Therapy and the RSPCA.
- We are pleased to offer free carer tickets for guests who require additional support during their visit. These tickets are available for all Lift 109 ticket types and provide entry only (excludes extras such as guides, add-ons, or merchandise). - The Infinity Room features music, loud sound effects, and voiceover narration. Subtitles for this experience are available via a QR code. Guests can scan the code using their personal devices for on-demand access. Throughout the rest of the experience, information is provided visually. The Gallery is a multimedia space with interactive touchscreens. The Chimney features written facts along the walls, and the Chimney Lift includes a location board with additional information.
