Access Card notes
MDC have a Wellbeing deaf group - we run an activity programme every Thursday throughout the month. The group attends a variety of activities, for example: Cinema, Café, local events, sport and leisure, museums, attractions and sightseeing. MDC is a charity, and so our aim in acquiring the Access Card is to use the discount to continue to support and encourage the service users to attend external events and activities that may otherwise be inaccessible.

Access guidance
- Wellbeing Group consists of people who are deaf and so there are communication difficulties which can result in a delay in the time and holding up queues.
- Yes we do have staff, volunteers and support workers for our clients.
- The group is deaf and use British Sign Language. When they attend any venue they require BSL (British Sign Language) Interpreters. Or if the venue, for example, a Museum/Gallery have audible commentary then the deaf group need this information in a visual format e.g. subtitled or BSL.
