Access guidance
- Newquay Zoo is a leading family visitor attraction in Cornwall and committed to 'Access for All'. We are considered reasonably wheelchair and pushchair friendly, with the majority of routes accessible for all. Some routes have a slightly steep incline or rough path surface, therefore not all paths are easy to manage in a manual wheelchair.
- There are 5 disabled car parking spaces in the Council owned car park adjacent to Newquay Zoo.
- Disabled toilet facilities are located just inside the main entrance of Newquay Zoo and opposite the meerkats at the top end of the zoo. We are also fully registered with Changing Places, the accessible toilet campaign. The Changing Places toilet is located near the entrance to Newquay Zoo, next to the front office and includes a hoist system, adult sized changing bench, adjustable sink, privacy screen and space for one person with a disability and up to two carers. Please note that a sling is not provided in our Changing Places facility.
- At Newquay Zoo we welcome assistance dogs and want to make your visit to us as enjoyable as possible. We have put together the following information to ensure the safety of yourself, your dog, our animals and members of the public during your visit. We recommend you read the information before you visit the zoo as you may be required to provide additional details on arrival. https://www.newquayzoo.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Visiting-Newquay-Zoo-with-an-assistance-dog.pdf
- For visitor with disabilities, we admit one accompanying carer free of charge when the pay full adult/child price. Please note: a carer must be aged 12 years and over and capable of assisting the visitor who has the disability for the duration of their visit.
