Access guidance
- On arrival at the venue, please make yourself known to our Box Office or Front of House team, who will welcome you and be able to advise you where to go. If you require early entry, please let us know before your visit and we can let you in around 10 minutes before doors open.
- The Old Market has step-free access from the street and throughout the venue, including access to the Box Office, TOM's Bar and the Main House. Access to other floors in the venue is via a platform lift, which is 31" wide and 43" deep. This provides access to our toilets (including our accessible toilet). Although we do not have a viewing platform, we do have different options available should you require a viewing area. We can provide spaces for wheelchair users at the very front of the auditorium. If you require this service or have any other viewing requirements, please contact us ahead of your visit to arrange this.
- If you require shorter access to the auditorium, we can provide this for you. Please let us know your requirements at the point of booking, then make yourself known to the door staff upon arrival at the venue and they'll be more than happy to assist you from there.
- Our toilet facilities are all located on the lower level at The Old Market. Access to the toilets is either via a platform lift or a flight of stairs with 19 steps. We unfortunately do not have urgent toilet access.
- We welcome assistance dogs into the venue and will be more than happy to provide them with water for the duration of your visit. During a performance, an assistance dog would be sat next to you. In order to secure a space for your assistance dog, please let our Box Office team know at the time of booking.
- The Old Market provides a free ticket for a Deaf or disabled person who purchases their own ticket, to enable them to bring an essential companion with them. If you require an essential companion ticket, please contact us ahead of your visit to arrange this.
- If you require a large format print version of our brochure, it is available to download from our website. Alternatively, please contact us and we'll happily send one across to you via email. As part of our green-policy, we are unable to print large format brochures in the venue.
- If you require an audio described version of our brochure, it is available to download from our website. Alternatively, please contact us and we'll happily send the link to you via email.
- If you or any member of your visiting group would like to view a route to the venue from either Brighton or Hove train station, these videos are available on our website and our YouTube channel. If any visitors would like a video visual tour of the venue ahead of their visit, please contact us and we'll happily provide this for you.
