Overview
Alton Towers Resort is an amusement park in Staffordshire, England, near the village of Alton, which is operated by Merlin Entertainments Group and incorporates a theme park, water park, spa, mini golf and hotel complex. Originally a private estate, Alton Towers grounds opened to the public in 1860 to raise funds.

Access guidance
- A limited number of wheelchairs are available for hire from Guest Services on a first come, first served basis. A £20 refundable deposit is required. We also have a limited number of slightly wider wheelchairs for fuller bodied guests. - Blue badge parking is available and can be booked online here: https://www.altontowers.com/plan-your-visit/before-you-visit/car-parking/ These spaces are located adjacent to our Entrance Plaza. Spaces on the day will be allocated subject to availability on a first come first serve basis.
- All toilets across the Resort have access for guests with wheelchairs or additional needs, as well as a new 'Changing Places' facility located in X-Sector. Smaller 'Space to Change' spaces can be found in Fountain Square and Gloomy Wood in the main toilet blocks. All accessible toilet facilities require a RADAR key for access. If you do not have your own, you can rent one from Guest Services for a £20 deposit.
- Access Cards with a '+1' will be accepted as proof for a free companion ticket. Access Card Holders with a '+1', who are also Annual/Season Pass holders, will be able to apply for a free carer pass.
- Hearing loops can be found in Admissions, Guest Services, Retail outlets and our Hotel Receptions. Vibrating pagers are available from Hotel Receptions to guests who are deaf or hard of hearing. These will be activated in the event of fire alarm activation or other emergency requiring guest evacuation of the hotel. - First aid is located at the bottom of Towers Street next to the Towers Street Skyride Station, we have a range of facilities including cold storage for medicines at our Medical Centre as well as facilities for those who may require medical attention during their visit. Located on Towers Street, Guest Services should be your first point of call if you require any further assistance on the day. The team can offer advice on Resort access and restrictions, height measuring, wheelchair access for collection of a Ride Access Pass, wheelchair hire, RADAR key hire, lost property and further information on available facilities across the Resort.
