Bristol Old Vic offers a range of performances and facilities to improve your visit and enjoyment of our productions. These include: BSL Interpreted, Captioned, Audio Described and Relaxed. If you have access requirements you can register on our access scheme to gain access to specific seating requirements and ticket discounts. You can register using your Access Card number.

Access guidance
- Our foyer and bar are step free and we have ample seating. If you have an access card with the difficulty queuing symbol and you can't find any available seating or the queues to the bar and auditorium are long, please visit our Reeception and Box Office team and bring it to their attention. They will advise customers of the best route to their seats and help find extra seating if required.
- Our foyer and bar are step free. We have a lift which gives access to all levels of the building. In our Main Theatre we have 2 wheelchair positions. These are accessed via the lift to the Dress Circle. We also have an accessible toilet on this level. One position has a single fold -down chair and the other is next to the row of seats. The Weston Studio has 3 wheelchair positions located in the balcony level which are street level.
- King Street is cobbled and unfortunately it is not possible to drive directly up to the doors of the venue. There is a disabled parking space on the corner of Queen Charlotte Street which also has further on street parking.
- We have 3 accessible toilets, one located near the entrance to the Pit, one located near the entrance of the Dress Circle and one on the balcony level nearest the Upper Circle level.
- Guide, hearing or other working dogs are welcome. Please notify Box Office at time of booking
- If you require an essential companion then we offer 50% off both the access card holder and the essential companion.
- We offer Audio Described performances throughout our programme. A full list can be found here: https://bristololdvic.org.uk/access/access-performances/audio. We aim to offer a touch tour for every audio described performance which can be added to your booking. Guide dogs are welcome but please let Box Office know at time of booking.
- We Offer Captioned and BSL interpreted performances throughout our programme. A Full list can be found here: https://bristololdvic.org.uk/access/access-performances. We hold off seats for the best view of captions and BSL. Once you are registered with the venue then you will gain access to these seats.
