Everyman Theatre

Overview
The Everyman is Gloucestershire's theatre - and has been serving the county (and beyond) since 1891. Our main auditorium is an architectural masterpiece designed by Frank Matcham that has inspired generations of performers. The common thread throughout the many years has always been our relationship with our audience - a relationship that we treasure. Whether you visit the Everyman to see ballet, opera, drama, dance, comedy, music events or our traditional family pantomime. Or if you take part in one of our many community projects, education workshops or youth theatre productions. Or if you visit us to dine or drink in our café or restaurant. Or if you are simply here to visit our website and book your tickets. Whatever the reason we would like to warmly welcome you and hope you return many times.

Access guidance
- Our foyers are small and can get crowded during busy shows, we have lots of seating available in our café and bar area that you are welcome to use with or without making a purchase. We offer digital tickets (with no charge) and postal tickets (with a small charge) as an alternative to queuing to collect tickets from our box office.
- There is level street access into the theatre from Regent Street, two of our doors also have automatic opening buttons to assist. We have a lift that goes to all levels. The seats that have step free access are all of the Stalls and Row E of the Circle. We have a ramp that go into the Stalls, you can find this on the left of the foyer, next to the lift. Our wheelchair accessible seating is on the left of the Stalls in seats H1, K1, M,1 P1 and R1, these seats can be removed to make space for a mobility aid or left in place if you wish to transfer to our seat. There is also an accessible toilet at the front of the auditorium on the left. Our Studio Theatre and restaurant is on the second floor and can be accessed via the lift. To get to the Studio you go through Matcham's Restaurant and then through a corridor to the entrance to the Studio. There is also an accessible toilet on the level, next to the lift. We have an entrance into the theatre from the Regent Arcade car park, however, there are steps from the car park down into the theatre. For step free access, you can enter the Regent Arcade and use their lifts to go to ground level, it is then a short distance to the theatre entrance.
- There is Blue Badge parking on Regent Street, outside the front of the theatre. As we are in the centre of town, this can fill up quickly, so we recommend leaving ample time to find a space. Alternatively, there is drop off space outside the theatre on Regent Street. The Regent Arcade car park has charged Blue Badge Parking and there is access from the car park directly into the theatre, this does involve a short stair case and brings you into our internal staircase.
- We have toilets available on all levels apart from our Balcony level (top floor). There are accessible toilets inside the auditorium in the Stalls and then in the foyer on the ground floor and 2nd floor. The closest toilet to the Studio Theatre is a short walk through our Restaurant. Our accessible toilet in Stalls requires a radar key, if you don't have one then please do ask a member of staff as we have many we are able to lend you for the duration of your visit.
- We welcome registered assistance dogs throughout the theatre and in our café and restaurant. If you are booking tickets to a show in the Theatre or Studio and will be bringing an assistance dog, please let us know so that we can make sure the dog has ample space and will be comfortable. We try to avoid having assistance dogs in the aisle when possible so they don't get injured by customers or actors in the aisle. We can take a seat out (if possible) or take another seat off sale to give the space needed. If you book a ticket online please either email us on access@everymantheatre.org.uk with the details of your booking or call us on 01242 572573 and we will make sure there is enough space in your chosen area.
- +1 Carers tickets are free. You can book these over the phone, in person or on our website. To do this you must have registered your access card with us so that we can make the ticket complimentary. If you don't have an access card yet or are awaiting an application we can reserve you the seats until you have your access card number, please call us on 01242 572573 or email access@everymantheatre.org.uk to do this.

Our AD performances can be booked online, we hold seats near the front of the Stalls which can be booked online if you have registered your access card with us, or over the phone. We also offer large print brochures, if this is something you would benefit from please email us on access@everymantheatre.org.uk or call us on 01242 572573. We also offer familiarisation visits, please email us on access@everymantheatre.org.uk or call us on 01242 572573 to arrange this. If you have any other accessibility aids that you'd like to make us aware of please drop us an email or give us a call. If you have an accessibility aid that emits light (e.g. a phone or tablet), please make the Ushers aware so they don't ask you to turn it off during the performance.
