Our garden setting is outside in a large space, however that space can be busy. To accommodate those with neurodiversity, autism or learning difficulties we offer a quiet hour once a week, during holidays. You can book online for our Wednesday Quiet Hour session from 9am to 10am. We are committed to ensuring all visitors, regardless of ability, can enjoy their experience here. We strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels accommodated and welcome.

Access guidance
- We have benches to hide from the odd rain drop or heat from the sun, plus picnic benches towards the end of the natural circuit around the garden.
- All facilities on site are fully accessible to wheelchair users, small mobility scooters and pushchairs, with ramps provided to avoid steps where necessary. There is a marked accessible parking area opposite the Village Shop. This is on the same side of the road as the Model Village and offers a flat surface to our entrance. Free parking is located in the council car park (entrance opposite the Griffin Pub). There are identified disabled spaces available.
- The route around the Model Village covers 2 acres on concrete pathways. There are a number of routes that cut down the distance to enable customers to re-route to a seating area.
- The Model Village Garden contains toilets for visitors to us. These include a toilet with low level WC with grab rails; low level basin with easy to use lever taps and hand towel dispenser. A full length mirror is provided. This toilet has a sky light for additional natural light and low level safety light switch.
- All dogs are welcome onsite (garden and shop) with water bowls provided.
- Essential Companions accompanying a customer with +1/+2 on their Access Card enjoy free admission.
- Visually impaired customers enjoy free admission.
