Overview
Ranked #2 Best Zoo in the UK on Tripadvisor for 2023, 2024 and 2025, theres something for everyone at Hoo Zoo.. With over 100 species of animals, 45 animatronic dinosaurs and beasts and activities taking place all day Hoo Zoo really is a fun day out whatever the age. Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World launched back in 1991 as Hoo Farm Country Park and over the past 30 years has become one of the midlands premier attractions - even winning National Farm Park of the year along the way. In 2004 the farm became a licensed zoo and hasn’t looked back. Now the zoo is home to not just sheep, cows, pigs and horses but other zoo favourites such as Meerkats, Lemurs, Servals, Caracal and even Wolves. Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World is extremely passionate about conservation with a strong message throughout the zoo of conservation through education. This is put across through the fun informative meet and greets that take place but also the renowned animal experiences (advanced booking essential).

Access guidance
- Queues only likely in shop or tea room. No seating in these areas but queues are rarely over 5-10 minutes.
- Level access throughout but gravel pathways.
- Furthest part of the zoo is approximately 750m from the entrance. Over 2 miles of pathways.
- Disabled toilets near front entrance. Satellite toilets available but no disabled access.
- We do require all assistance dogs to be well behaved and on leads at all times. Any barking dogs will be asked to leave – this is because we have animals on site that were rescued from situations including dog attacks. Any mess must be picked up by the dog owner. For the safety of our animals and the safety of your dog, there are certain areas that assistance dogs are not allowed. These are laid out below – any pathways beyond the ‘No Dog’ symbol are not accessible by assistance dogs. This includes Hoo-Rassic World and Land of the Beasts as they are situated past our Wolf and Lynx habitats and any walkthrough animal habitats.
- Essential Companions come in free upon presentation of a PLUSONE or PLUSTWO Access Card or Digital Access Pass.
- We are a member of KultureCity. Sensory kits are available to hire from the admission desk.
