- Our auditorium is in the basement of a church - there are fourteen steps down to the main foyer and then a further six steps down to the auditorium itself, which is all on one level. All staircases have a handrail. We do not have a wheelchair lift at the main entrance. However, we do have a separate entrance that offers a more direct route into the main auditorium and is equipped with a platform lift (please be aware the lift has a total weight limit of 300kg). Please note, due to health and safety regulations we cannot permit any customers to stand on the platform, and therefore the platform lift is only suitable for wheelchair users. To use this entrance, customers must be booked in advance with us. Wheelchair users must arrive at the main entrance 30 minutes before the performance begins in order to ensure there is sufficient time to get to the seats safely and comfortably. Our platform lift can be used for a maximum of two customers per show. Within the auditorium, we have two wheelchair spaces available in our Side Stalls Right; one which allows the customer to stay in their wheelchair and one which allows the customer to transfer to a theatre seat. Please note to use the theatre seat the customer must be able to walk the few steps from the bottom of the wheelchair platform lift to the seat.
- For customers who are not wheelchair users but may find stairs difficult, we have a house wheelchair which allows the use of our platform lift. We can provide seating in our accessible area that gives legroom and space to easily get in and out of seats, which is close to the platform lift location, the accessible toilet and the auditorium bar. Our Security team can assist customers who may require extra time or space on the stairs by holding the queue if possible, please arrive at the doors time (30 minutes before the show start time).
- We have an accessible toilet which is at auditorium level. We can offer accessible seating close to the toilet for those who need it. On arrival in the auditorium please make yourself known to our Front of House team who will be able to show you where the toilet is located.
- We allow assistance dogs in the venue with prior arrangement. A member of our team may be able to care for your assistance dog during the show, or they are welcome in the auditorium, as long as the correct seats are booked. Please contact our Box Office team to book your tickets if you have an assistance dog.
- We offer an essential complimentary companion ticket for those who are eligible, subject to availability. We are a small venue and there is limited availability for each performance. These tickets are not currently available via our website, but can be booked either in person at our box office, by calling us on 020 7734 2222, or by emailing boxoffice@leicestersquaretheatre.com.
