Palmehuset

Overview
Palmehuset is located in the middle of the Botanical Garden, and from the Palmehuset's terrace there is a magnificent view of the garden and a look at Copenhagen's spiers and towers. Here you can enjoy life in quiet, green surroundings in the middle of a busy capital, far from the city's noise and traffic. The Botanical Garden is Denmark's largest collection of living plants, a few steps from Nørreport Station. It's a free public green space to roam and relax in filled with rare trees, shrubs and herbs. The garden also contains a growth house, a flower shop, a café and a butterfly house (small entry fee). The butterfly house is open during the summer season only, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the butterflies' fascinating life and transformation at close hand.

Access guidance
- There are good conditions for wheelchairs outside in the Botanical Garden. In some places on Stenhøjen and Observatoriehøjen there are steep climbs where it is necessary to have a helper with you. Inside the listed Palm House, there is limited opportunity to maneuver around, and we therefore recommend that you have a companion to help with the narrow passages and doorways that separate the climate zones. Unfortunately, it is not possible to access the low greenhouses in the Palmehus complex including the Butterfly House with a wheelchair.
- Guide dogs are allowed. Other dogs and other pets are not allowed.
