Access Card notes
Guests requiring an essential companion can claim a free ticket for each detailed on the holder's card. These companions must be aged over 18. To book your tickets using your Access Card, please present the card to staff at the cinema or call the Box Office to book by telephone (we can also do this via a WhatsApp Video or Facetime Call if Lipreading is Required). For any other access requirements, please do get in touch and we will do our best to inform and help. Currently we are unable to accept the Access Card for bookings online, however you can use a CEA card to make this booking in the interim.
This provider accepts the Access Card as supporting documentation for accessible facilities and tickets. *The information in this listing is submitted by the provider*.
Access guidance
- Due to the nature of the business, it may be the case that there could be a short wait to be served. Guests can take advantage of the seating area upon arrival. If you require fast-tracked access, speak to the team ahead of arrival and we shall do all we can to make this possible.
- The building does not have level access; however, when making a booking you can request that we have the portable access ramp ready (this can also be added to online bookings during the booking process). Once in the building all areas are on one level, and we have chairs and tables that can be moved to accommodate a range of access needs. The auditorium has level access to the front three rows and the wheelchair space on Row D is next to a step designed for guests to stow bags/oxygen tanks etc...
- The building itself is fairly compact and the nearest free car park is <100 metres away. Guests can be dropped off immediately outside the building. During times of the year that the main car park is not available (for example when the fair is in town) we have an arrangement for those that need it to park in a nearby businesses car park.
- We have an accessible restroom located just outside the auditorium door and further just down the corridor. All are within a very short distance from the auditorium and bar area.
- We allow assistance dogs to attend. We do ask that guests notify us in advance. If a guest requires their dog to be in the auditorium, we advise that we find seats where they may be comfortable and not likely to be in a main thoroughfare. We have water bowls available. The team may also be able to keep an assistance dog in the bar area during a film - at the owner's request.
- We offer complimentary tickets to any required essential companions. These tickets are issued on the agreement that the cardholder has the +1/+2 box filled and that the companion is a responsible person, eighteen years or over. These can be booked in person or over the telephone. We are not yet able to accept the Access Card for a carer ticket online (we are working on this) but the CEA Card is accepted online.
- For film screenings we have an Audio Description system that works via a wearable headset. This is available on most but not all movies. We can advise on this if guests contact the cinema directly or you can look for the 'AD' icon on film listings. These headsets are available to reserve online when making a booking.
- Our ticket till has a Hearing Loop in place for guests to make use of, as well as a visual touch menu for all bar items and tickets (we also have notepads if required). Some films are screened with Descriptive Subtitles, and these can be easily identified online by looking for the SUB icon or by using the filter in the what's on section to list all upcoming features that are running with Descriptive Subtitles.
- Our Accessibility page on our website contains seat dimensions and leg room measurements for the bar and auditorium areas for those that need it. We have personal alert buttons available on request for lone guests who are wanting to have an independent visit - but want the reassurance that help is a button press away. These can be reserved when making a booking alongside other access equipment. We host regular screenings for Neurodivergent Guests and their families.
