The Patriarchal Cathedral Basilica of Saint Mark, commonly known as St Mark's Basilica, is the cathedral church of the Patriarchate of Venice; it became the episcopal seat of the Patriarch of Venice in 1807, replacing the earlier cathedral of San Pietro di Castello

Access guidance
- People with physical disabilities and wheelchair users are able to enter the Basilica and also gain access to the Treasury through the Porta dei Fiori , which is equipped with a ramp. The Museum, which is located on the upper floor of the Basilica, is served by both a lift and stair lifts. Visitors are kindly requested to contact a staff member at the Porta dei Fiori, which is located on the left-hand side of the Basilica.
