Access guidance
- We are happy to accommodate people who might have difficulty with standing or queueing by allowing them early admission into our Green Room to sit down. We can also accommodate early access into the auditorium to avoid the crowds once the house opens.
- Unfortunately, Upstairs at the Gatehouse does not yet have step-free access. We are actively fundraising to improve our accessibility via the installation of a platform lift. There are 17 steps (including a landing) up to the Box Office level and a further three steps up to the auditorium.
- By request, we can make seat reservations at the near-side of the auditorium to minimise travel distance.
- There is a bathroom adjacent to the auditorium.
- We have a water bowl for Assistance Dogs. The pub downstairs also provides dog treats!
- We are happy to provide complimentary tickets to Essential Companions / Carers.
- We can reserve seats in the front row if helpful.
- A hearing-loop is fitted in the auditorium and turned on for every performance. By request, we can usually make play-texts available at the discretion of the production company.
- Our seats come in a few different sizes, but our main seating bank consists of seats with about 43cm of space. In our main seating bank, there are several rows with lift-up armrests that can fold out of the way for your comfort. Side banks do not include armrests.
