Access guidance
- We have an accessible entrance at the turnstiles for those with mobility issues. People who may have difficulty with standing and queuing needs can indicate this to our entry stewards who will ensure they are given priority entry.
- The majority of our outside areas are on tarmac/hard-standing so there is easy access to the racetrack at race level and to the bookmakers. The Parade Ring is also accessible in a wheelchair. We have a raised viewing platform at the finish post in the Paddock and there is a designated wheelchair viewing point in the Premier Grandstand. Our Paddock facilities have ground-floor access with stewarded, double-width doorways. Lifts are also available to access the Premier's upper floors, hospitality, and owner facilities. We have accessible toilets within all enclosures. Please note that access to our Course Enclosure is via the Grassed Racing Track surface so is not suitable for Wheelchair users.
- The Racecourse Premier Enclosure is approximately 120 meters from the turnstile entrance, and the Paddock and Parade Ring a further 50-100 meters. We have a drop-off point located just 15 metres from the turnstile where those with mobility issues can alight and we have a golf-cart that can pick people up from the turnstile entrance and bring them down into the enclosures if they are unable to walk the distance. The golf buggy will also take people back out to the entrance at the end of the day. Please just speak to one of our Stewarding Team if you require assistance. The Parade Ring has benches placed around and the rail surround can be used as a support to lean on of required.
- Should someone require the toilet urgently, if they or their companion makes the situation known to one of the Stewarding team, they will direct them to the nearest toilet and will ensure that they able to move to the front of the queue if there is one.
- We welcome assistance dogs and if you let us know you are coming we can make sure we have a water bowl available, however all of the bars and catering outlets will fill your bowl if you want to bring one. There are some grassed areas within the enclosures which dogs are welcome to use, and in addition the car parking areas are all grass.
- Essential companions/carers receive free entry alongside a full-paying ticket holder. We request that you do so in advance of the meeting with your nimbus card, or alternatively you can call the office on 01937 582035. Advance sales close at 10.00am on the day of racing.
- A large map of the Racecourse is located within the Paddock Enclosure. Our Stewards will also support anyone having difficulty to direct them or guide them to the area they wish to access. We can provide a racecard in PDF format on request to those that use PDF text to speech applications.
- Information is relayed on the Racecourse public address system throughout the day and on the CCTV and Big Screen, much of it in text format. Racecards have printed information on all of the runners and riders and the Raceday Ready App will show non-runner details for each race.
- We have an accessibility officer (Danielle Maskill) who is the first point of call for all accessibility questions before the visit. Danielle is most often at the turnstiles on raceday mornings.
