Access guidance
- Please be aware though that this is a woodland trail and it is Scotland in the Autumn so the pathways may be wet and some ground may be soft. There may also be mud. The trail is in a woodland, therefore the track is undulating and cambers from left to right. There are some roots and dips. A track-way path will be installed to assist with access both on grass and the forest area. Hardcore paths and roadways will be left untreated. For manual wheelchair users, assistance is compulsory on this site, and for electric wheelchair users assistance is recommended.
- We have a limited number of blue badge parking spaces available on site which are allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
- There will be accessible toilets available at the entrance and exit to the trail as well as at the food area.
- Access Card with '+1' symbol accepted as proof for a free essential companion ticket. Please note that you will be asked to show your Access Card on arrival and where this cannot be presented the ticket will be charged at full price. The only exception to this is manual wheelchair users who will require someone to assist them with certain areas of the trail.
- We are aware that the multi-sensory nature of Wondrous Woods may induce a sensory overload in those with Autism and therefore we will be running an Autism friendly session on Tuesday 27th October 2020. On this date we will have a reduced capacity to minimise crowds and sound and lighting levels will be decreased to ensure the comfort of our guests. The trail will not include strobe lighting, however we are using many sources of light across the site and the use of these in terms of volume and light levels may not be suitable for those who are susceptible to photo-sensitive epilepsy.
