Access guidance
- We aim to minimise queue times wherever possible. A dedicated accessibility entrance will be available for those who cannot stand in long queues. Seating areas will be placed around the site for rest stops.
- Kirkleatham Showground is a large, mostly flat outdoor space. Main pathways and key areas will have firm, accessible routes suitable for wheelchairs and mobility aids. Viewing areas for performances will include designated accessible spaces.
- Accessible parking spaces will be available close to the entrance. A drop-off point will be provided for those who need closer access.
- Accessible toilets will be located at multiple points throughout the site. Some will be larger units to accommodate carers and mobility aids.
- Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the festival. Water stations for service animals will be provided.
- We recognise the +1 symbol on Access Cards. If you require an essential companion, they are eligible for a free companion ticket.
- Maps, schedules, and signage will be high-contrast and large print where possible. Digital versions of schedules will be available for screen reader compatibility. Staff and volunteers will be available to provide verbal directions and assistance.
- Important announcements will be visually displayed on signage and screens. Some performances will include captions or visual interpretation. Written transcripts or summaries of stage performances may be made available where possible.
