Xplore! is the premier Science Discovery Centre in North Wales attracting families, tourists, community groups, and school groups of all ages. Xplore! is a visitor attraction and educational charity in the heart of Wrexham. As a subsidiary company to Wrexham University we exist to see the local and regional communities actively engaged with and passionate about science, enriching the lives of over 70,000 visitors every year.

At Xplore! Science Discovery Centre we have the following accessible features: Xplore! has level access using both main entrance doors. A hearing loop around our entrance and reception areas. Our café and Science Shop are open to members of the public as well as Xplore! Visitors The exhibition area has exhibits of varying heights and actions, please ask a member of staff if you need any assistance. We have a low light area, theatre and two workshop rooms. We have a wheelchair and buggy park, visitor lockers and a picnic area for our visitors to use. We have male and female toilets as well as two gender-neutral and accessible toilets plus baby changing facilities. We welcome assistance dogs. Xplore! recognises the sunflower lanyard scheme and many of our staff have received dementia friends training from Alzheimer's Society and autism awareness training from the National Autistic Society. Fully accessible changing places facility for adults and children. Social Stories for Visitor Groups Free admission for carers (proof of carer status is required)

Access guidance
- There is seating dotted around the admissions area. Our admissions process is much quicker when tickets are purchased online. We don't require all visitors to queue and have exhibits, toilets, etc in the area for visitors who don't want to, can't or prefer not to queue or wait.
- Our centre is fully accessible for wheelchair users with level access throughout the building. Our exhibits are level or where they are not, our science communicators are able to help.
- There are seats dotted around the whole centre, some can be moved whilst some are static. All the exhibits are close together and admission is valid from arrival until closing at the end of the day.
- We have several toilets located at different points in the building. We have 3 unisex toilets (2 general and 1 disabled with baby changing) in the reception area and male, female, baby changing, unisex disabled & unisex changing place in the exhibition.
- We can provide water bowls for assistance dogs and direct to the nearest grassy area, this is approximately a 3 minute walk from the centre.
- Visitors with disabilities (paying full adult/child admission charge) may admit one accompanying carer* free of charge. If more than one carer is required, please let us know. Please bring relevant proof of entitlement. For example, an agency ID card, DLA/PIP letter or book (issued by DWP office) or Blue Badge. *Please note, to qualify as an accompanying carer at Xplore!, you must be aged 16 years or over
- All exhibits are hands on and although they do have instructions currently written in text, our science communicators are always happy to help.
- We don't currently have any alternative formats available, however, some staff have basic understanding of BSL and makaton.
