Overview

York Racecourse sits just to the south of the city centre, served by a shuttle bus from the train station on racedays. It is the home of famous races staged over eighteen days between May and October. The sporting highlight is the four-day Ebor Festival every August, with headline music acts performing after racing at the Music Showcase Weekend in late July.
