Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 is proud to announce it has partnered with Nimbus Disability, the organisation behind the award-winning Access Card, as Official Accessibility Verification Partner, to support accessible ticket sales for the Games.

Nimbus' Access Card is a nationally recognised system that allows disabled people to communicate their reasonable adjustment requirements clearly and consistently, and book accessible tickets.

Through this partnership, the trusted system will underpin accessible ticketing at Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, giving audiences a straightforward way to have their requirements understood.

For many disabled people, attending major sporting events can involve navigating complex booking systems and repeatedly explaining access requirements. By introducing a consistent and trusted process through the Nimbus Access Card and the IG27 Digital Access Pass (DAP), the Games is aiming to remove some of those barriers and make the spectator journey more straightforward during the ticket booking process, enabling more people to experience the powerful stories of recovery, rehabilitation and resilience at the heart of the Invictus Games.

Prior to tickets going on sale, customers who require an accessible ticket will need to either:

• Apply for the free IG27 Digital Access Pass (DAP)
• Apply for a physical Nimbus Access Card (£15 for 3 years)

Nimbus' Access Card platform is already trusted and recognised at numerous major events and venues across the UK, including the O2, Wembley Stadium, Merlin Entertainments, Glastonbury Festival, West End theatres, Royal Windsor Horse Show and more.

This partnership supports Birmingham 2027's wider Impact Strategy, with the Games delivering against an Accessibility Strategy and Implementation Plan developed with accessibility experts, and an Accessibility Advisory Panel to guide inclusive delivery.
