We’re pleased to welcome Derby Museums as one of the most recent recipients of two awards: CredAble Provider and CredAble Access. Both awards cover Derby Silk Mill Museum and Derby Museum and Art Gallery and The CredAble Provider award applies to Pickfords House.
This is a really good example of how the different awards split; Pickfords House, by its very nature can not and will not be accessible for all visitors, but the team at Derby Museums will make sure that the visitor attraction is as accessible as possible.
We were really pleased to be able to present the award following a truly unique exploration into how disabled peoples existence resonates, or not, in the annals of history and museum collections. Shortlisted for The Observer Ethical awards: the Cabinet of Curiosities Show by Matt Fraser pictured above to the left of Martin, was a one off master piece of collaboration between disabled people and museum curators across the UK thanks to work from Leicester University.
The image below also shows MD of Nimbus and CredAbility Martin involved in a post show Q&A panel with Matt.
