The Lambeth Country Show will return to Brockwell Park on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 July 2018, boasting a unique line-up that celebrates the very best of the city and countryside. With over 150,000 people attending in 2017, the show is one of the biggest public events in the UK.
You can expect all the attractions of a traditional country show plus much more including horticultural shows, sheep dog & owl displays, home grown vegetable and flower competitions, an abundance of craft & food stalls and a very own on site farm will be there for all to enjoy.
All this will be on offer and more with a distinctively urban south London vibe in 2018.
Music always plays a big part to the weekend featuring a mix of dub, afro-beat, disco, folk, ska and soul music to suit a variety of tastes.
Sunday will welcome back Roots Reggae Day to the Main Stage and the Village Green stage will showcase an eclectic mix of local talent playing acoustic folk, soul and pop, along with steel orchestras and samba bands.
Now in its 44th year, the show is organised by EventLambeth and funded by Lambeth Council. This year’s show was supported using public funding by Arts Council England (ACE).
Accessibility at the festival includes pathways and road systems run throughout the festival grounds that makes it easily accessible for wheelchair users to get around. Most of the activities and stages are situated on the grass fields of the park so guests may experience muddy terrain depending on the weather.
The festival has an accessible viewing platform situated in front of the main stage with a prime siting for the sound of the stage to enjoy the wealth of entertainment on offer throughout the weekend.
There are also wheelchair accessible toilets located evenly across the show site. One of these is located within the compound of the viewing platform.
