The Access Card contributes to many different foundations & projects, including Disability Direct’s Plot to Plate.

Established in 2017, Plot to Plate is a project that provides disabled people the opportunity to learn how to grow produce at an accessible allotment. The project also includes other great activities such as cooking classes, which not only give people more independence, but the activities also help to reduce isolation and radiate positivity.
During the Covid-19 lockdown, organisers of the Plot to Plate project showed even more support for the community by providing plants for people so that they could grow them at home. They also delivered produce to people who were shielding and therefore couldn’t leave their homes.

The Access Card is proud to support the Plot to Plate project and looks forward to seeing the future progress of the project in further supporting disabled people living in Derby.
