The Access Card makes financial and pro bono contributions to many different foundations & projects and the latest organisation to benefit from both is The Richard Whitehead Foundation.
Launched in Summer 2021, The Richard Whitehead Foundation strives to help break down barriers for disabled people and increase participation in sport.
Made up of both disabled people and people who specialise in working with disabled people, the organisation will work closely with each individual young person to ensure that they have the best support for their needs.

Richard, 2 x Paralympic Gold medallist & 4 x World Champion, says:
“The Richard Whitehead Foundation is something that myself and my trustees have set up to represent myself and my core values and to support, guide, mentor and help develop opportunities for people and their communities with disabilities.
“The pandemic has shown that one of the minority groups that has been most affected by the coronavirus is people with disabilities and so the foundation is going to be providing and supporting disabled people, young and old, develop and have a platform for success. We want to inspire, liberate people with disabilities to achieve their goals, and give them hope for the future, and that’s what we want to do as a foundation.
“We’ve got some exciting projects coming up and we want you to be part of this.”
