Access guidance
- The Amsterdam Dungeon can be visited in a wheelchair, however, a complete tour can not be experienced. Unfortunately you can not enter the last show due to technical effects of that show. The Amsterdam Dungeon is very dark and navigating through the attraction can be tricky. The Amsterdam Dungeon is not suitable for battery operated electric wheelchairs or scooters. We have a standard wheelchair available for use. Unfortunately we do not have a safe place to store electric wheelchairs or scooters. These will need to be pushed by a carer.
- The Amsterdam Dungeon has a fully accessible disabled toilet which is located before the 1st show.
- Due to health and safety guidelines we are not allowed to welcome guide dogs to the Amsterdam Dungeon. We also believe that, due to the nature of the attraction, it is not the most suitable environment for dogs and it could unsettle some dogs.
- The Amsterdam Dungeon is really dark which might cause difficulty in navigating the Dungeon for people who are visually impaired.
- The Amsterdam Dungeon experience relies predominantly on actors' and pre-recorded voices, often with dimmed lighting. This can mean that guests with hearing difficulties may find it difficult to fully enjoy the attraction. Hearing impaired guests are welcome to bring a carer for free who can help make the most of your Dungeon's tour.
- Pregnant guests or guests with neck or back complaints have to notify a member of staff at entry of the Amsterdam Dungeon. Our staff will highlight anything you will need to be aware of. The Amsterdam Dungeon is not recommended for people who suffer from claustrophobia. We use a variety of sound and light effects. If you are sensitive to this, please note that participition in the tour is at your own risk.
