"Chipmunks is the ultimate jungle gym for your kids – and it's located right here in Christchurch! Do your children have too much energy for their own good? Well, Chipmunks is the place for you. It's an interactive, challenging and safe environment for your kids to let loose and work off some of that energy in a fun environment! Chipmunks is for children ages 0 - 11 years. We have dedicated age zones and soft play areas for age-appropriate activity (including the baby/toddler zone for ages 0 - 4). The café is on-site and in view of the playground, so you can watch your children while they play, and you take some time out from your busy schedule. We also provide birthday packages that are stress-free and affordable. Use a party room or hire out the whole venue for exclusive access after hours. We help to play the day away, cater, and our friendly staff will host the event. You just turn up and enjoy! Session Information Monday to Sunday: 9:30 a.m – 5:00 p.m Children must be supervised at all times. All children and supervisors using the play equipment must wear socks at all times for health and safety reasons. Socks are available to purchase. As we have our own café facilities, we do not allow outside food and drink to be brought into our premises. Birthday cakes used during a booked birthday party are an exception."

Access guidance
- The queue is never particularly an issue at the centre.
- The café is wheelchair accessible, including the party rooms. The main kids' playground can take wheelchairs; however, the second level does not have a lift. There is also no access to the slide other than the stairs. The toddler section isn't as wheelchair accessible, yet it is a safe environment for kids who potentially just have minimal mobility without a wheelchair to explore. If you are above toddler age but would like to use this space, please discuss this with a staff member, as it may work on a case-by-case basis.
- There are wheelchair parks directly out front, and there are plenty of parks outside the building. If you're taking the bus, note that the walk from the stop is only a few minutes, but the driveway to the building is extremely long.
- Access to the toilets is close to the playground and café - they are wheelchair friendly. If you need a space at a table close by to the toilets or playground, that should be simple to arrange.
- Assistance dogs are permitted and loved! However, we do not allow them on the playground or equipment as this may cause safety risks and property damage. Additionally, other kids on the equipment may not get along with animals!
- There is no charge for an essential companion.
- The centre staff are used to assisting people who have difficulty accessing visual information to understand the centre and the facilities.
