Great British Food Festival, Floors Castle

Overview
"The perfect recipe for a fun, foodie, family day out! Why do so many of our visitors return every year? Perhaps it is for the fantastic food and drink… delectable delights and tasty treats from our wonderful street food vendors and amazing artisan producers. To polish up their culinary skills with our free Chef Demos. To muck in with the Bake-Off stars on our free, interactive Bake Stage. Maybe our visitors return for our cocktail of niche bars, with their tempting tipples. Perhaps it's for the memorable moments, soaking up the atmosphere, chilling to some fabulous live music, sampling the Cake-Off creations (or a cake for free entry), being entertained by the crazy Men v Food warriors, all the while enjoying the stunning surroundings of a beautiful stately home. Oh and yes, we do make sure their children are blissfully amused and the dog happy too! Come along, take a big bite of the action and see if you agree!! Maybe you'll become a GBFF regular too."

Access guidance
- We welcome wheelchair users / families with prams and we do all we can to ensure comfort and safety for wheelchair/pram users. Please note that for most of our events this is on fields, so in bad weather things can get a bit muddy. Disabled drop-offs can be arranged, please contact us in advance or speak to a member of our team on the day. Each event is set on a field, usually near the house/hall. Surfaces around the Castle and Grounds vary between grass, gravel and tarmac. The main entrance to the Castle has 12 wide stone steps. For alternative access, please call in advance or go directly to the Castle Gift shop (located near the Courtyard Café) where a member of our team will come and meet you and escort you to a lift up to the main entrance hall. We do have one small and basic wheelchair available for indoors use which fits our lift. If you require any further information about specific access or advice on planning your visit, please call 01573 227660/223333 or email enquiries@floorscastle.com We have the Courtyard Café nearest the Castle and the Terrace Café next to the Walled Garden. Both have disabled ramps access routes and are wheelchair accessible within. For more information on Wheelchair Access, please visit: https://www.floorscastle.com/visit-us/plan-your-day/accessibility/
- We have designated disabled parking as close to the event site as possible. Disabled bays are available near the Courtyard entrance which will avoid steps enroute. Please ask the pay hut team and or follow the signs.
- We have a disabled toilet on the event field and wheelchairs and prams can navigate around the field (assuming no major adverse weather conditions). The individual venues often offer further facilities, please refer to their own website for details or please contact us if you need any further assistance/advice and we will do our very best to help. We have three sets of within the Grounds and all have access facilities and baby changing facilities.
- Dogs are very welcome as long as they are on a lead. Dogs are not allowed into the food marquees or inside some of the buildings. This is for hygiene and safety reasons.
- Access Card Holders with '+1' will be entitled to a free companion ticket.
- Staff are trained in emergency procedures and in the event of an alarm, please follow the instructions of the Castle staff. We have trained first aiders on site at all times. Please ask the nearest member for staff if help is required. We keep a record of all accidents and injuries.
