Lakeland Wildlife Oasis
Overview
We are a charity led zoo, with a small 2 acre site. Within the zoo we have around 100 species including fish, invertebrates, frogs, reptiles, bats, monkeys, birds all the way to our Snow Leopards and Fossa!

Access guidance
- We are only a small site, so typically there's not too far to walk between seating opportunities, as well as very short queues. We have seating near our tills if there is too long a queue, and we have seating in front of a large range of our exhibits for people to take a break from standing.
- The centre is all on one level, with wheelchair access throughout and a good view from a seated position into most exhibits. As there are naturalistic compacted paths through most of the outside area, surface breakup can occur - creating loose gravel which may make pushing heavy chairs difficult. There are a number of benches inside and out and easy access to café and toilet facilities.
- This is only a small zoo, with the large distances broken up with seating by animal enclosures that people can take advantage of if they need a break.
- Toilets are available in the gift shop/cafe area. This is easily linked to both the indoor and outdoor areas of the zoo. There can be a little bit of a distance from the furthest end of the outdoors to the toilets inside, but this can be walked at a casual pace in around 2-4 minutes
