Wheelchair Access

There is level access to the Theatre Royal via the YARN bar entrance on South Sherwood Street, opposite the main entrance to the Royal Concert Hall. From South Sherwood Street there is level access into the Royal Concert Hall via the automated door on the far right of the main entrance.

Ramped access to the Theatre Royal is to the far left of the portico entrance. These doors are automated. During performances, ramped access to the Royal Concert Hall is available from Burton Street.

There is a lift in both the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall that services all levels.

Wheelchair spaces are located in the Stalls and the Dress Circle of the Theatre Royal auditorium and in the Stalls and Tier 1 in the Royal Concert Hall. To view seating plans for both venues click here.
Scooters and large size wheelchairs may require the allocation of two standard size wheelchair spaces. Please advise us of your needs at the time of booking.

In the Theatre Royal, we would advise customers who require level access to seating to book seats in the Stalls. In the Theatre Royal we have a lift that services all foyer levels and the Dress Circle restaurant. However it should be noted that there are flights of stairs to reach seating inside the auditorium on the Dress Circle, Upper Circle and Balcony levels.

All levels of the Royal Concert Hall are accessible by lift. There are a small number of stairs to reach some seating on Tier 1 and Tier 2.

We offer a range of captioned, audio described, relaxed and sign language interpreted performances.
