- The halls inside the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo have benches.
- Ramps and lifts have been installed where possible in the museum. Wheelchairs are available at the entrance to the Cathedral and the Museum. Disabled access for the Cathedral is located on the right side of the Cathedral. There is no lift access to the top of the Brunelleschi's Dome. There are approximately 463 steps to the top. This is not recommended for people with a heart condition or suffering from dizziness and claustrophobia. Bulky backpacks and bags are not allowed, and there is no cloakroom available to store these belongings. The Santa Reparata is only accessible via stairs. There are no ramps, the museum floor is uneven and some parts are at different heights. There is no lift access to Giotto's Bell Tower. There are approximately 414 steps. This is not recommended for people with a heart condition or suffering from dizziness and claustrophobia. Bulky backpacks and bags are not allowed. There is wheelchair access in the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo and lifts are available. There is wheelchair access in the Baptistery of San Giovanni.
- Access to service animals (guide dogs for the blind and others) is allowed upon submission of the required certification.
- Free access is granted for disabled visitors and their essential companions. These tickets can be collected from the Museum's cash desk and documentation must be submitted.
- The Accessibility Area is willing to adapt methodologies, tools and visit paths, creating tailor-made activities, depending on the needs and peculiarities of individuals or groups. There are a number of projects in place to accomodate for disabled people. The TouchAble and AccessToOpera are projects especially indicated for sensory difficulties, the Liget Program is designed for cognitive, behavioural or social difficulties. In addition, TouchAble paths are available in the Cathedral, Museo dell'Opera del Duomo and Baptistery of San Giovanni.
