Access guidance
- Should you have difficulty standing or queing, and you are waiting to enter the venue, please speak to one of our Security team at the entrance and we will endeavour to get you into the building and to a seat as soon as possible. If you are waiting to register or check-in, please speak to one of our Guest Assistants and they wil be able to assist with seating in the foyers.
- "Our property is walker/wheelchair friendly, with step-free access into the Centre. There are drop off points located close to all entrances. Once in the Centre, lift access is available to all areas, including Level One (and side of stage). We have dedicated wheelchair seating in our Auditorium. We also have two wheelchairs available for guest use. These can be arranged in advance or on the day with our Guest Assistant team. An evacuation chair is available in the unlikely event of evacuation. "

- For customers that may need urgent access to the toilet, our Guest Assistants will orientate you with the location of the facilities when you arrive, and advise the best bathroom location for your event. Both standard and accessible bathrooms are available throughout the Centre. Accessible bathrooms have automatic button access. If you require urgent access, and there are queues on your level, please let our team know and they will direct you to the closest available toilets.
- Te Pae Christchurch welcomes assistance dogs to accompany their owner into our facility. If your dog is thirsty, please let us know and we can provide a bowl of water. Dogs that are not trained as assistance dogs are not permitted in the facility to prevent interference with assistance dogs. There is green space nearby for your dog's relief.
- We are pleased to offer a complimentary +1 ticket for essential companions of Hāpai Card holders for live events ticketed through Ticketek. For conferences or dinners, please speak to your event organiser. Please note that complimentary +1 access needs to be arranged prior to your event.
- Our team will be happy to assist with verbal information regarding our facilities.
- Te Pae Christchurch is equipped with hearing loops in the Auditorium and meeting rooms. For more information please speak to one of our Guest Assistants. Our team is also able to provide key infomation in written form, or can offer you pen and paper and communicate with you through writing and reading if required. We have several quieter areas in the facility that you can utilise if it is easier for you to process audible information in a less busy atmosphere.
